I've been wanting to create a Christian based Blog for some time now but have been wrestling with the actual content theme. At first, I thought maybe I was being urged on by the Holy Spirit to simply post some of my poetry on the Blog. You know, keep the subject light, offer some cheerful encouragement to the reader, and keep things on a positive level. Apparently though, that is not the direction that I am supposed to take. After a lot of prayer, after hearing from the Lord in many different ways, I've made the decision to use this Blog as a wake-up call for my fellow beleivers.
What am I waking you up to you may be wondering?
Two main issues:
1. The corruption and compromise of the Christian faith.
2. The growing global attack on Christianity.
These subjects are certaintly not "light" and I've got some initial trepedation about even going in that direction but I've got to follow the Lord's leading - I'm compelled to do so. I've had to make the decision that I'm more willing to please God than I am to keep people from being mad at me.
Another thing that I decided about this Blog - it is not open for discussion with non-believers. This Blog will not become a sounding board for those who would eagerly attempt to slam Christianity. Non-beleivers who find themselves so offended by Christianity will have to go somewhere else to spew their venom.
With that said, I hope that you will re-visit this site often and read what I've shared from my heart. You are free to e-mail me at the address posted at the top of the page. Words of encouragement would be nice occasionally.
